Having the right tool for the job makes life so much better. This thing made changing the brakes on my motorcycle so easy. Highly recommend.Swapped out pads on a variety of bikes. Worked like a dream. Very strong and well made. Would recommend this to anyone. Has large and smaller jaws that push on pads, effortless. Makes the job easy.We use these daily in our shop. The thin side is great for getting into the pads on Harleys. We have had a set fail at the weld, but was able to weld it back (out of warranty). We've been waiting MONTHS for Snap On and Cornwell trucks to get them in stock and finally gave up. Was surprised to find OTC on here and immediately ordered a set.Tip: Start with the thin side to get the pads apart enough to flip over to the thick side. The thin side will flex if the pads or caliper sticks.Works great but doesn’t last forever. This is my third.It's on the pricier side, that's for sure. I needed something to assist with some maintenance I was going to my motorcycles. There are cheaper options but after reading the reviews I felt this was the best option. The tool is very well built and made of good quality material. I was very fond to learn that each side is a different thickness. One side is shaved down to assist in smaller calipers. This came in handy because my rear brake caliper could only be accessed by that side. Overall it's worked out very well for me. I have another upcoming project on my girlfriend's bike and I know it will get the job done.It's a little pricey. I have been looking for something like this for sometime. I hate using big screw drivers to pry brake pads apart. This is compact to do the job on Harleys but not get in the way. The spreader tabs appear to pressed on to the body of the unit. If it comes apart on me, I'll do a better of aligning the spreader tabs and tack weld it on. I'll check if the body is plated brass later.Perfect solution; rather than using your hands or a flat head screwdriver. Easy to use and if you plan on servicing your own bike and maybe have more than one bike, worth the cost if you can spend the cash.I bought this tool to change the brake pads of my FZ09. The product feels sturdy, easy as butter on the brake pistons.
