Needed to get the cassette off a Schwinn continental and this was the perfect tool.old bikesJust make sure you get the Correct splines. Worked awesome.I have the same problem as some other reviewers. the fr-4 tool will not fit over the axle nut on the campagnolo hub. this is not the fault of the tool, I don't thing you could make a tool to clear the axle nut and still fit into the splines on the regina freewheel. this is a Campagnolo design fault. the hub axle needs to be removed before you can engage the tool into the freewheel. it should work on most, if not all, other mfg hubs with a regina, atom, etc freewheel.it works, but removal of the freewheel is really hard. I followed Sheldon Brown and Park instructions. I inserted the tool, held it in place with the wheel skewer, and clamped the wheel horizontally in a bench vise, Then I pulled like hell on the rim and tire. I thought it was not going to work but pulling like King Kong finally got it to budge and putting the new one on was easy. It is amazing just how tight the freewheel gets from transmitting all the torque from the pedals and chain over time. The local bike shop only charged me $12 to remove my old one on another bike (Giant with cassette) and it was well worth it. I suppose it could be removed without a vise, using a long handled chain whip for leverge with the wehhel and tire on the ground. Next time I will just have the shop do it,. Once was enough of a challege for me. If I were 50 years younger and stronger Ok, but at 73, this job was a chore for sure. This is a high quality tool that works perfectly with the appropriate hubs. A precise fit is essential to remove a sprocket cluster using the specific design (several manufacturers). Well made, inexpensive, and quickly delivered. At first when faced with needing a special wrench (yet another specialized tool), I thought I'd just open up the freewheel and refurb it from inside out. Then I got the cap off, looked at all those small bearings and realized maybe that wasn't such a bright idea.I had no idea that there were so many different freewheel wrenches out there or which one I needed. I ended up carrying the wheel of my Peugeot into our l.b.s. and while they didn't stock the right size, they were able to tell me what I needed. Since we have three of the bikes, I opted to buy the wrench rather than pay them to remove the freewheel. It got here in about a week, slipped right into place and a solid pull on the wrench got things loose. Now I can get the thing clean and lubed like it should be, and know I can handle the other bikes when it's their turn to get service.Worked perfectly! The 20 splines were what I needed to fit my Regina Extra BX freewheel, as I had never open a freewheel on the vintage bicycle before, kind regards John Brady.Does what it says on the tin, looks sturdy enough to last.Brilliant tool, perfectly fit easy removeWell, it's a freewheel remover. As with all Park tools, it's built with quality and robustness in mind.Good tool to remove older type freewheel block. Delivery from this seller was fine and at a good price too.
