Until purchasing the Pitchfix, I had been carrying either a standard type pitch Mark tool, or a novelty tool with a bottle opener. Either of these tolls would close, and as such is either impale my thigh through my pocket (and potentially tear a hole in the pocket of my pants) or impale my hand while reaching into my pocket to retrieve my ball marker, or the tool.The Pitchfix fixed this issue with the spring-action closure, and I don't think I'll use another tool. This was a great price, and I feel that the construction is sturdy enough to last many years (so long as one keeps it relatively clean).The tool will pick up occasional dirt from the pitch marks that I fix, but can easily be wiped off with a towel. The tool is also small enough not to be cumbersome whole in the pocket.I received two "Pitchfix" ball markers, which are a bit on the small side. However, the magnet seems to allow a solid fit on USGA ball markers, so that's an alternative if you have a membership.Overall, I've been very pleased with the purchase.
