Crank puller did a good job, even messed one crankset thread (was to be replaced) without damaging its own thread. Be careful when starting the thread! it would be up to you to make it perpendicular to the axle while the tool 'wiggles' in your hand..The 'universal' lock-ring tool worked good enough. The Crank Wrench couldn't move the stationary, it chipped off aluminum pieces and is currently useless. Can't report on other tools as I didn't use.For the same price I would have gotten only two tools separately, so I don't see it as a 'bad' deal but the quality of the crank wrench makes it not a 'good' deal.Good quality tools for working on your bike! The case could be better designed, it’s not holding the tools in place when you move it around.Great drone, great quality!I am a novice repairman with an older bike. I was shopping for a set of bike maintenance tools on a budget. I read the reviews on several sets that seem adequate, but settled on this one as the others all seem to have some drawbacks. I am very happy that I did. Let me say that although I am a not an expert repairman, I can usually figure things out and leave the project better off than I found it. The overall quality of this tool set seems very satisfactory for the novice repairman. I have used it upgrade my pedals, replace my seat and replace my front hub bearings and cone. The tools in this set worked fine. I would HIGHLY recommend this set to a novice repairman shopping for a set of tools on a budget Thank you.October 25,2012I am updating my review of this product to reflect additional usage. I needed to remove and replace the freewheel on an older Schwinn bike. The Park Tool Bicycle Repair Blue Book list 7 common freewheel removal tools. This repair kit contains 2 and they seem to be two of the least common tools. Therefore I am downgrading my rating of this product from 5 to 4 stars. Still a good value overall.Initial review after opening product. Impressed with the combination of tools in this kit. It’s a good beginner set. I did not want to spend hundreds of dollars for maintaining my bike as a recreational rider. I needed tools to replace components on an older (2012) bike. I had purchased tools separately and needed up returning those cheaply made tools. These work a little better but certainly not professional grade.I've been biking my whole life (42y) and only recently started taking it seriously. Having to take my bike all away across town to my local bike shop for servicing was starting to get old so I decided to try maintaining my bike on my own. I was a little leery about this set but considering the difference in price to the Park Tool brand but after getting a hold of it, I'm pretty happy so far. I've only used about 1/2 of the tools and surprisingly the only tool that wasn't very good was the screwdriver; while adjusting my front derailleur's high limit the tip basically shredded up. No worries as its just a screwdriver. I've yet to use the crank puller but it looks really sturdy.Overall, I'm really happy I bought this kit as it comes with me on the trails and someone always needs a part that's in itGreat cheap set of tools to do most things. Bottom bracket remover fits 70% of bikes. The cassette remover and chain break work great. Wrenches are thin to help with bearing races and pedals but low quality. For the price this is a great set as an intro to bike maintenance. I bought in 2014 and still use it.Most of the inexpensive bicycle tool kits on here appear to be duplicates of each other, and are of the exact same quality, give or take a few bucks, and may contain a few different parts. I bought this particular kit because it had what I needed to convert my '86 Fuji Allegro into a single speed, and I wanted to have some other tools available for future projects. I don't expect it to last me a lifetime, but I also couldn't afford to individually purchase the higher end tools I needed for the job, let alone a $600 Park Tools kit. However, I wouldn't recommend using the metal tire paddles. They started stripping the rubber off of my tires and scraped part of my rim. Order a set on here separately if you need them.Great bike repair and maintenance kit. Vary happy with it. For the price it is great value and for a newbie it has everything I need and more.Amazing set has everything i need and more. Never need to buy another set againall looks goodDisappointed to see the pedal wrench is too big for my spd sl pedals. Lots of tools to get me started with doing my own bike repairs. Used this kit to do much needed maintenance on my hubs. This kit is a good place to start for the beginner bike mechanic. It's a fairly good starter set for basic at-home maintenance: not complete, but respectable. The metal is a little soft in things like the screwdriver and it tends to warp, and the chain tool was downright flimsy, broke on its first use.Other than that it has been super useful and has let me do all my own regular maintenance and cleaning. Pretty good value.
