Pinched off between leaking Supco piercing valve and fridge compressor. Removed piercing valve, cut out valve hole and silver soldered brazed shrader valve and voila - no leak! Used reround portion of tool to reopen piched line, pull vacuum on system, tested and recharged. Works like a champ again. Never using a piercing valve again because they don't always seal but this tool saved the repair.worked for pinching copper line I could not get it to round back out but I am sure it was operator errorWell made product, but I was surprized it was made in Taiwan.First time it showed up as an empty package. Second time, the vice crimper was not there.With the advent of r290 refrigeration upon us definitely keep this tool on your truck.I love it ..works great on R290 systemsI do hvac/r for a living.
