Used with 7 yr old with supervision. Very sharp blade included that stayed in box. Made some of his favorite characters. Had sculpey and fimo clay. Keep cleaned off between colors. Very helpful and probably couldn't have done the job without.Can't really give this tool kit a bad review because i rarely use them sculpting. What i can say is they are of great quality and i don't regret purchasing them. If you need some simple tools with some nice little texture rollers, then it's worth it. There are much better tools out there but these are great for starters. I wouldn't really label them as essential but really just a nice quality starter set.I haven't used this yet but I know they are good tools because everyone I know who uses them with Polymer clay loves them. I have not decided if I am using them with clay or fondant for my cake decorating. If I use them for clay they can't be used ever again for food.I actually use this for cake decorating on my gum paste/fondant/marzipan etc.. I don't like using the tools that are labeled as gum paste tools because they tend to come in all pastels or are very thin. These are a little thicker and longer, the steel pieces guarantee no rough edges from plastic molds, and I like the black and funky green accents =)Great tools for clay. Like them a lotI don't think I have ever bought a Sculpey product that I was disappointed.OK, but 0ver priced. Blade difficult to use with the little plastic handles.I really love them.
