Car essentials -tire relearn tool When you need this tire relearn tool? Do tire rotation, didn’t have a quick and easy way to let ECU relearn new tire information. The TPMS needs to be reset after fixing problems such as low tire pressure or air leakage/replacement or installation of tire pressure monitoring equipment/replacement of tires, damaged sensors, etc. A new TPMS sensor was installed, and neither the tire deflated nor the tire inflated would allow the system to recognize the new sensor. When the tire pressure indicator lights up, after the repair is complete, the tire pressure needs to be reset to turn off the TPMS indicator. How to enter to car TPMS learning mode? 1. Set the ignition switch to the "ON" position. Place the shift lever in "P" gear. 2. Enter the cruise function, and DIC displays "Press Set/Ctrl to relearn" press the "Set/Ctrl" key 3. The TPMS indicator light flashes, the car horn beeps twice, and the learning mode is successfully entered. Read the tire pressure sensor information 1. From the left front tire, align the antenna of the diagnostic tool EL-50448 with the core position of the valve and close to the edge of the side wall of the tire, and press the start switch. When the horn beeps once, the tire pressure sensor information is successfully read. 2. Use the same method to read other tire pressure information, test all tires in the following order: left front, right front, right rear, left rear.
