I work offshore in the oil field and I use these for my two always on hand tools.Buy separate stainless steel LOCKING carabiners if you buy these. The ones on them now pop off way too easy... Kind of defeats the point, right?The length is good. I MIGHT want 2-4 more inches but then again it might get too droopy. When I hang them from my belt in front of me they don't hang up on my knees too badly so they are alright. If you hang them behind you they are definitely fine in length. If you clip to your chest D ring when wearing a body harness they are a good stretch / length to most arm length uses.
