You might forget what life was like before using this tool.As shown, the lower part is a black plastic handle and the upper holds the sandpaper. You open it up to expose a slot in the back, fold a strip of paper ~1x5" lengthwise around it and into the slot, then close it back up to snug the sandpaper in place. This gives you three sides of the rectangular bar covered in abrasive, and off you go. It's not meant for heavy grinding, but great for touch-ups with emery paper about 300 grit or finer. Once loaded with paper, you use it like a small file, with the added benefit that you can change the grit at will.This comes in two models, one with a rectangular bar and own with a half-round working surface. For me, it was love at first sight. It's still a newcomer in my toolbox so I can't comment on longevity, but I have high hopes.-- wiredweird
