I'm just starting out in the world of Quilling so I had this on my initial list of must try tools. Another quilling item that I bought also came with a slotted tool. This is by far my favorite of the two. The other one doesn't really have much of a handle where as this one comes with a decent length / fairly comfortable handle. The needle tool isn't probably something that a beginner needs (I find it much more challenging to start a roll that way). I probably could have gotten away with just buying the Quilled Creations Quilling Slotted Tool separately, still I'm not at all disappointed that I purchased this set. I was wrapping coils up as soon as I opened it and doing so comfortably.
