1" X 8" Modular Tool Post for Lathe Rest System - Perfect for Metalworking, Woodturning & Workshop Organization

Unlike the Nova 5” post, this one fits my Laguna Revo 1836 lathe perfectly. The 5” post is just ever-so-slightly oversize to fit. But this one is perfect. However, I did find that the 8” length was too long - it extended below the banjo, so I couldn’t get the tool rest close enough to my workpiece. So I took a hacksaw and cut it off to around 5” long. It took about 20 minutes to do, including a couple rest stops for my arms. Then a few seconds at the grinder to smooth out the rough edges where I cut it off and I’m in business. And the price of the 8” post isn’t any more than the 5” post. So I’m happy. So much so that I ordered another 8” post.
